Musical Meetings

Musical meetings of the San Francisco Folk Music Club are held every other Friday at 885 Clayton Street, between Carl & Parnassus Streets in San Francisco. Singing and jamming in three separate rooms start at 8:00 p.m. Snacks are provided through $1 food kitty donations or finger food contributions. Guests are always welcome, no one is expected to “perform” and there is no charge.

We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams,
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world forever, it seems.

—Arthur William Edgar O’Shaughnessy (1844–1881)

The San Francisco Folk Music Club Board will also have to bid farewell to Shawn’s wife, Board Vice-President Donna Hyatt Scarlett, who will be joining Shawn in the Netherlands. Farewell to both with our best wishes.
