The twelfth annual Sonoma County Folk Festival will be on Mother's Day weekend, May 7, 8 and 9. The festival features two separate Friday night dances-a swing dance and a contra dance.
Saturday's events begin at 11:00 a.m. and include workshops taught by festival performers, a sing-along , jamming (instrument check available), children's events all day, afternoon and evening concerts with Robin and Linda Williams, country/folk performers, Bruce Molsky, ace fiddler, with his band; Bryan Bowers, autoharpist extraordinaire; Conjuntu Jardin, instrumental and vocal music of Veracruz; Nobody You Know (formerly The Immigrants); Caliban, Celtic duo; Anzanga, marimba band; and others.
Sunday's schedule-11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.- features Balkan dancing , an open mic, Gospel Hour , drumming, singing and tale-telling a performance by Robin Flowers, Libby McLaren and Nancy Vogl; and the acoustic duo Rick Shub and Bob Wilson.
