This is a call for folkies to participate by presenting a session (workshop) at the Sixth Annual California Folk Heritage Weekend scheduled for May 1, 2, and 3, 1998. We will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the discovery of gold this year.
Once again it will be held at the historic Nichelini Winery on Highway 128, near Lake Berryessa. The purpose of the gathering is to work to maintain contact with California's rich musical and storytelling folk heritage.
The weekend is not a festival; it is a gathering of folkies. No one is paid and we all contribute $9.00 per camper per night to cover insurance and other costs. Day attendees are requested to donate $7.00 to help with these costs. We are looking for volunteers to lead one hour sessions on topics germane to the theme.
