Berkeley Free Folk Festival

Like the Phoenix, the new incarnation of the Berkeley Free Folk Festival is scheduled to rise on Saturday, November 18 at Ashkenaz! Because of undetermined funding, we do not know yet if the Festival will also be on Sunday, November 19, but we hope so. (Funding suggestions ALWAYS welcome).  The new Festival will include folk music concerts from about 11:00 a.m. until 9 p.m. followed by a dance on Ashkenaz' great dance floor.  There will also be workshops, jam sessions, a children's program and an Irish session on Saturday night in the back room hosted by Festival favorite Shay Black.  We ask everyone in the folk music community to support the Berkeley Free Folk Festival at Ashkenaz.  Suggestions and volunteers always welcome!
