The 13th Annual Western Workers Labor Heritage Festival honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be on January 15, 16 and 17, 1999 at 1511 Rollins Road, Burlingame. This is a weekend of inspiration, solidarity and workers' culture, with workers' music, drama, writing, visual art, storytelling, comedy, song and poetry swaps and much more.
Friday evening features an arts exchange and a social. Saturday events include workshops and performances from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and featured performers and an arts exchange at 7:30 p.m.
Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to noon there will be workshops and exchanges. At 1:30 p.m. there will be a tribute to Dr. King.
At 7:00 p.m. Sunday, there will be a benefit concert, with proceeds going to workers in need. Admission is $10 for non-registrants, and tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.

The 8th Annual Celtic Music and Arts Festival will take place at the Festival Pavilion in Fort Mason on San Francisco's waterfront Saturday and Sunday, March 6 and 7, 1999. There will be two days of non-stop music from Ireland and her Celtic sisters, and a Celtic marketplace with arts, crafts, services, books, and music.
